President Biden is scheduled to embark on a visit to Israel and Jordan on Wednesday, amidst a delay in the efforts by the United States and Egypt to reopen the border crossing between Gaza and Egypt.

According to Palestinian officials, over 500 individuals lost their lives in an Israeli attack on a Gaza hospital. Israeli officials, on the other hand, claim that there are “clear indications” suggesting that the strike was an accidental discharge by a Palestinian militant group.

Hamas has reported the death of the commander of its military wing’s central brigade in an Israeli airstrike. The Israeli military conducted airstrikes on what they referred to as Hamas’s operational headquarters during the night.

The United States military has chosen approximately 2,000 troops to be prepared for a potential deployment in support of Israel. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas cancelled his scheduled meeting with President Biden following the hospital explosion.

The Israeli military spokesperson stated that Israel has not committed to a ground invasion of Gaza.

Since the commencement of the Hamas assault, over 1,400 Israelis have lost their lives. Israel has reported the deaths of 289 of its soldiers. In Gaza, officials estimate the Palestinian death toll to be around 3,000.

A spokesperson for Hamas has disclosed that the group is holding approximately 200 individual’s hostages, with at least 50 others being held by different factions. Hamas has released a video featuring a 21-year-old hostage named Mia Schem.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has expressed his belief that Israel’s “genocide” of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip must cease “immediately.”

State TV reported Khamenei as saying, “If the Zionist regime’s crimes against Palestinians persist, no one will be able to confront Muslims and the resistance forces… the bombardment of Gaza must come to an immediate halt.”

Khamenei emphasized the need for a response and reaction to the events unfolding in Gaza, and suggested that Israeli officials should be held accountable for their “crimes against Palestinians in Gaza” through a trial.
