On Saturday, Iran sent out a warning to Israel that if the “war crimes and genocide” are not effectively stopped, “the situation could spiral out of control & ricochet far-reaching consequences,” Tehran’s mission to the United Nations in New York posted on X (formerly Twitter).

The post says, “If the Israeli apartheid’s war crimes & genocide are not halted immediately, the situation could spiral out of control & ricochet far-reaching consequences – the responsibility of which lies with the UN, the Security Council & the states steering the Council toward a dead end.”

Moreover, on Saturday, Joe Biden, the President of the United States, had a talk with both the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, and the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and encouraged both to permit humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Although President Biden has talked with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu often after the attack by Hamas, the call this Saturday was his first-ever talk with Palestinian President Abbas, who controls the Palestinian Authority, which in turn controls the West Bank.

An emerging Israeli invasion was seen to aggravate the predicament of the civilians in Gaza, who are now deprived of power, fresh water, or any access to aid.
