Indian athletes creates milestone with 80 medals in Asian Para Games 2023

Indian para-athletes achieved a historic milestone on Thursday by outperforming their previous records, securing a total of 80 medals at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games 2023, which includes an impressive haul of 18 gold medals.
Prior to this, India’s best performance was seen at the 2018 edition of the Asian Para Games in Indonesia, where Indian para-athletes clinched 72 medals. With two more days left in the Asian Para Games 2023, there is a strong possibility that India may reach the remarkable milestone of 100 medals.
As of now, India’s medal count stands at 18 gold, 23 silver, and 39 bronze medals. Anticipations are high that the tally will continue to grow in the remaining two days as Indian para-athletes maintain their exceptional performance.
