India achieved a significant milestone on Sunday as it defeated England by a massive 434 runs in the 3rd test held at Rajkot on day 4. The match also concluded, leading the 5-test match series for India by 2-1.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s significant score of 265 runs provided the Indian team with a total of 445 runs in the first innings, which eventually put notable pressure on the English bowlers. Moreover, Yashasvi’s performance against James Anderson is being hailed as a display of immense talent and composure. The other key player who displayed bowling brilliance was Ravindra Jadeja. The spinner claimed a five-wicket haul for just 41 runs in the second innings. With the relentless bowling attack, the England Cricket Team got all out at the score of just 122 runs.
This victory surpasses India’s previous record win of 372 runs against New Zealand in 2021. It also marks the first time they have crossed the 400-run margin in a Test match victory. The win has been hailed as a historic moment for Indian cricket, showcasing the team’s depth and dominance in home conditions.
With the 4th and 5th test matches to be held at Ranchi and Dharamshala respectively, Indian Cricket fans eagerly await more record-breaking and significant milestones to be accomplished by the Indian Players in the upcoming clashes. With India leading 2-1 in the test series, the remaining matches could prove India as winners of the series or England as potential game changers.
