Hollywood Announces to Remake Karan Johar’s “Kill” in America and UK Cinemas

The first time Hollywood will remake a Bollywood film, makers said, “Kill is one of the best action films. It is a pleasure for us to remake it.”

“Kill,” produced by Karan Johar, has come into the limelight recently. The film’s first view premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. It will be released on Friday, 5th July 2024. “Kill,” directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, is going to be remade by Hollywood company Lionsgate Motion Picture Group in collaboration with 87Eleven Entertainment Company. In the film, Raghav Juyal along with Lakshya, Taniya Maniktala, and other participants will be seen in crucial roles.

This is the first time in Bollywood history that an Indian-made film is going to be remade by Hollywood directors. Karan Johar’s “Kill,” a Hindi-language film, is announced to be remade and released in English in North America and the UK. Both the President of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group and Chad Stahelski of 87Eleven Entertainment said in a presentation, “Kill is one of the best action films seen recently. Nikhil has given such action sequences that more and more audiences should see. It is a pleasure for us to remake it. We have great responsibilities and I look forward to working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet, and Achin to achieve it.”

The makers of “Kill,” with Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, in a statement, said, “When we made Kill with Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, we dreamed of global love, and the noise of Kill in North American cinemas was like seeing that dream come true. As we approach our global release, we are happy that 87Eleven Entertainment will remake our film in English.”

Talking about the story of ‘Kill,’ it is based on a commando named Amrit and his beloved Tulika (Lakshya Lalwani and Taniya Maniktala). When Commando Amrit knows that Tulika is being married against her wish, he catches a train to New Delhi to stop the marriage. But his journey on the train takes a new turn in his life when a punk gang with sharp knives haunts passengers. He takes risks to save them all.

Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt took 100 interviews of Raghav Juyal for this role and finalized it at the end. In the film, Raghav Juyal will appear in a chief villain role. Produced by Karan Johar and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, “Kill” will be ready to release on cinema screens on 5th July.
