A couple and their 17-year-old teenage son were found dead at their home in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior district. The bodies of the three persons were discovered on Sunday when the police broke into the house, they said.
A suicide note purportedly written by the son was also found in the house. The note mentions the reason behind him taking such an extreme step, stating that he was disturbed due to a person, added the official.
The three deceased persons – Jitendra Jha (50), his wife Triveni Jha (40), and their son Achal Jha (17) lived in Hurawali Colony under Sirol police station area and were found dead in their house by the police. The neighbors informed the police of the incident when they didn’t see the family since Saturday evening, said a police.
They further revealed that cut marks were also found on the wrist of Jitendra while all the articles in the house stayed intact. A suicide note written by Achal was also found which mentioned the name of the person whom he held responsible for forcing him to such an extreme act, added the official.
The official also said that it is suspected that Achal first committed suicide, and later his parents, upset over the incident, took the extreme step. Forensic evidence and investigations are taking place, he said.
Vinod Jha, a relative of the deceased, told reporters that Jitendra was a builder while his wife was a teacher in school. Their son was a student of class 12, he said. Vinod also expressed shock over the incident and said the family’s financial condition was good.
