The 2025 Golden Globes delivered several memorable moments, but one in particular stole the spotlight—Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson coming face-to-face at the awards ceremony on Sunday night.

Vin Diesel surprised many by speaking directly to his former co-star as he took the stage to present the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award. Diesel smiled and turned to Johnson in the crowd and said, “Hey, Dwayne.”
The audience burst into laughter as the camera panted to Johnson, who was smiling slightly. According to the report, the incident highlighted the couple’s complicated past, which has been the subject of speculation over the past few years, as reported by Variety.
The public conflict between Diesel and Johnson began when they worked together on the Fast and Furious movie series. However, the split was formally settled in 2023 when Johnson surprised fans around the world by unexpectedly playing Luke Hobbs in the Fast X mid-credits sequence.
Johnson first turned down Diesel’s invitation to rejoin the team in November 2021, announcing that he would not be returning. This statement proved to be a bluff considering that the two would reunite for the upcoming 11th film in the Fast and Furious franchise.
According to Hollywood insiders, there have been talks of a clash between the two stars. In an episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast in April 2024, his co-star John Cena offered his thoughts on the alleged clash. Cena said, “There’s certainly rumours about that. I can’t deny that. You have two very alpha, driven people.”
Fast Five (2011) was Johnson’s first appearance in the Fast & Furious franchise. He starred in Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, and The Fate of the Furious. He then co-starred with Jason Statham in the Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw spinoff.
This Golden Globes 2025, it appears that the bumpy road between these two action stars has finally smoothed out once again, as fans eagerly await their on-screen reunion.
