A dog, possibly a golden retriever, slipped into the gap between a moving train and the platform at Jhansi railway station, an incident that was caught on camera and has since gone viral on social media.
The video shows the dog’s owner rushing to board the departing train, attempting to lift the pet towards the entry door when it accidentally falls into the narrow gap. According to local news reports, the man, traveling with his family and pet, had stepped off the train at Jhansi, likely to attend to the dog’s needs. However, as he tried to reboard, the train began moving, leaving both him and the dog unable to get back in.
Railway officials reported that the train guard activated the emergency chain after being alerted to the situation. Fortunately, the dog was rescued unharmed, and the family, along with their pet, continued their journey on the same train.
The video has sparked widespread discussion online, with many users expressing shock and relief over the dog’s survival. However, several social media users criticized the owner for negligence, voicing their concerns in the comment section of the Instagram post where the video was shared. One user, BaghadBilli, asked, “Is that dog okay?” while another, Shriya Bopanna, urged for stricter enforcement of station laws, holding the owner responsible.
Meanwhile, other Instagram users reassured viewers that the dog was safe and had not suffered any injuries.
