New Delhi: Two separate fire incidents were reported in Delhi on Tuesday — one at a hospital in Uttam Nagar and another at a coaching centre in Preet Vihar. In both cases, all individuals were safely evacuated, and no injuries occurred.

The hospital fire began around 8 p.m. on the third floor, specifically in the record room adjacent to the dental treatment area, which was unoccupied at the time. Approximately 40 people, including patients and staff, were safely evacuated before the flames could spread further. According to officials, 10 fire tenders and 60 firefighters responded swiftly.

The hospital building comprised three floors, each serving a different purpose: the second floor housed nurse accommodations, the ground floor had a chemist shop, and the first floor included administrative offices and OPD rooms. At the time of the fire, around 15–20 patients and 20 staff members were inside. Everyone was safely rescued, confirmed by Additional DCP (Dwarka) Nishant Gupta.

Dramatic visuals captured flames pouring from the building and residents shouting, highlighting the area’s congestion. Firefighters were later seen extinguishing the blaze.

Earlier that afternoon, a fire also broke out at a coaching centre near the Preet Vihar metro station. Panic ensued among students, but all 10 people present, including students, were safely evacuated before firefighters arrived. Four fire engines and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire was contained within two hours. The cause of the fire, which originated on the first floor and led to smoke spreading to the second, is under investigation.
