Former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy urged his nephew, Prajwal Revanna, to return to India and cooperate with authorities in the sexual assault case he’s implicated in. Kumaraswamy emphasised the importance of honouring family reputation and urged Prajwal to comply with the investigation, as a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Prajwal, grandson of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, is currently abroad, while the Karnataka government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the allegations. His father, HD Revanna, is also involved in the case and is currently out on bail after a brief period in custody.

The situation escalated after explicit videos allegedly involving Prajwal surfaced, prompting the formation of the SIT. HD Deve Gowda has refrained from commenting directly on the matter, stating that it’s for the authorities to act in accordance with the law.
