Five Robbers Injure Five in Jewelry Store Heist in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan

On Friday evening, five robbers targeted a jewelry shop in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, opening fire and injuring five people, including the shop owner. The incident took place in Bhiwadi’s central market, where the robbers arrived by car and entered the jewelry store. They fired shots, injuring shop owner Kamlesh Soni and a security guard, while three others were also hurt in the ensuing chaos. The robbers fled the scene after the heist. Rajasthan Police have formed special teams to identify and apprehend the culprits.
The injured are receiving treatment at a local hospital in Bhiwadi, and a video of the incident has gone viral on social media, raising concerns about the state’s law and order situation. CCTV footage from the incident shows the robbers firing as they enter the shop, followed by them beating people with sticks.
In a previous daylight robbery, about six armed men stole cash and gold worth approximately ₹1 crore from an Axis Bank branch in Alwar, Rajasthan. The robbers, armed and masked, executed the heist in under 30 minutes before escaping on motorcycles. The footage shows two masked robbers pushing workers inside the shop while three others stuffed jewelry into their bags.
In another case in May, a 28-year-old recovery agent for a private finance company was murdered and robbed of ₹40,000 in Baran, Rajasthan. During the investigation, police discovered that he was returning home after collecting the recovery amount, and the assailants, aware of the money, slit his throat, dumped his body near a ditch, and fled with the bag.
