Father Kills Son for Trying to Prevent Him from Drinking on Holi
A 55-year-old man in Bijnor fatally stabbed his 28-year-old son after the latter tried to stop him from drinking on Holi, police reported on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday in Dholagarh village, Noorpur area of Chandpur tehsil. The victim, Rahul Kumar, had urged his father, Vinod, not to leave the house after consuming alcohol, fearing it could lead to conflicts during the festival. When Rahul insisted, Vinod, enraged, stabbed him in the chest.
Rahul was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Following a complaint from the victim’s brother (or “son,” if correct), Omraj Kumar, police registered a case against Vinod under Section 103(1) of the BNS for murder. He was arrested, and the body was sent for autopsy at the district hospital.
