Family of Accused Sonam Raghuvanshi Denounces Her Actions

In a shocking turn of events, Govind Raghuvanshi, the brother of Sonam Raghuvanshi, has publicly denounced his sister’s alleged involvement in the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi. Govind expressed solidarity with Raja’s grieving family and demanded the death penalty for Sonam if she is found guilty.
Sonam Raghuvanshi, 24, and her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, 29, were on their honeymoon in Meghalaya when Raja went missing on May 23. His body was later found in a gorge near Weisawdong Falls. An investigation revealed that Sonam had allegedly plotted the murder with her boyfriend, Raj Singh Kushwaha, and hired killers.
Govind’s Statement
“I am 100% sure that Sonam is involved in the crime. If she’s found guilty, she should be hanged straight away,” Govind said. He also offered to appoint a lawyer to represent Raja’s family in court. Govind visited Raja’s family in Indore to apologize and console them, stating, “I am with the truth. Raja’s family has lost a son, and our family has broken ties with Sonam.”
Investigation Update
The police investigation has uncovered evidence, including:
- Sonam’s confession to being involved in Raja’s murder
- Physical evidence such as blood-stained clothes and a khukri (curved blade) recovered from the crime scene
- Electronic evidence, including call detail records and mobile phone location data, linking Sonam and her accomplices to the crime
- CCTV footage tracking the movements of Sonam, Raja, and the accused
Sonam and four of her aides have been arrested and remanded to eight days of police custody. The case is ongoing, with further investigation underway.
