External Affairs Minister Meets Families of Detained Indian Navy Officers in Qatar, Vows to Secure Their Release

New Delhi, India – India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, announced that he met with the families of the eight former Indian Navy officers who have been detained in Qatar for over a year. During the meeting, the minister expressed the government’s deep concern and commitment to the case, which recently took a dire turn when the officers were handed the death penalty on October 26.
