Four Arrested for Uploading Explicit Content on Instagram in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh

The Sambhal Police in Uttar Pradesh have arrested four individuals, including three women, for allegedly uploading explicit videos on Instagram. The accused, identified as Mehrul Nisha alias Pari, Mehak, Hina, and Jarrar Alam, were reportedly earning between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 per month from their objectionable content.

- Accused Profiles: Mehrul Nisha alias Pari, Mehak, and Hina are the three women arrested, with reports suggesting that two of them are sisters. Jarrar Alam was arrested for assisting in the production and promotion of these videos.
- Charges: The accused have been charged under Section 292(B) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, related to obscene acts and songs, and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
- Arrest: The arrests were made based on complaints filed by local residents, with the case being registered on Sunday.
- Police Statement: “Everyone has the right to express themselves on social media, but that does not mean public decency and social norms can be ignored,” said the police.
