Dumka Constituency of Jharkhand: Uprising Numbers of Voters

DUMKA: The Shikaripada, Jama, Dumka, Jamtara, Nala, and Sarath are the six legislative assembly constituencies that comprise the Dumka Lok Sabha constituency.
In Dumka, Jama, Shikaripada, and Nala are seen as the strongholds of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Out of the six parliamentary segments in Dumka.
Though Sarath is the Bharatiya Janata Party heartland, Jamtara is ruled by the Congress. More than 7 lakh 86 thousand male voters and more than 7 lakh 76 thousand female votes make up the over 15 lakh 63 thousand eligible voters in the Dumka parliamentary seat. This constituency has noticed an intriguing development: a rise in the voting proportion.
There has been an interesting development in this constituency: the voting percentage has increased in the last few elections.
Dumka achieved a 71.38 percent voter turnout in 2014; in the general election of 2019, that number increased by 2.05 percent. Dumka conducted elections from 1952 to 2019.
Shibu Soren of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha was elected from this constituency about eight times. BJP candidates have won this seat three times, whereas Congressman Prithvi Chand Kisku has only triumphed once.
In 2019, Sunil Soren of the BJP defeated Shibu Soren of the JMM to win this seat by a margin of 47,000 votes. There are nineteen contestants. But the primary contest is between Sita Soren of the BJP and Nalin Soren of the JMM, who also happens to be Shibu Soren’s daughter-in-law. Sita Soren and Nalin Soren are both running for office in the parliamentary elections for the first time. Sita Soren has served as a JMM MLA three times. She did, however, abandon ship to run on the BJP ticket before the Lok Sabha election.
