Delhi-NCR Rain: Heavy Downpours Cause Severe Waterlogging in Several Areas; Police Release Traffic Advisory

Delhi-NCR: Parts of Delhi and Noida experienced severe waterlogging following heavy rainfall early Tuesday morning. The downpour caused traffic jams, making commuting difficult for many. Severe waterlogging was reported near Ashram Bridge after continuous rain. Visuals from agencies showed several areas, including Ashram, Patel Chowk, and New Delhi Railway Station, facing significant waterlogging even after light rains.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread light to moderate rainfall across Delhi and southwest NCR on Tuesday, with a warning of a moderate-to-intense spell over Central and East Delhi in the morning.
Earlier on Tuesday, the IMD also issued warnings of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated locations in Uttarakhand, and heavy rain at isolated spots in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. Thunderstorms and lightning were also expected in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
