A brazen carjacking incident occurred in southwest Delhi’s Qutub Institutional Area on Sunday morning, where three men allegedly stole an SUV by threatening the driver at gunpoint. The incident took place around 5 am on Shaheed Jeet Singh Marg.
Details of the Incident:
- Carjacking: The driver, Sagar, was waiting inside his employer’s Tata Harrier SUV outside a restaurant while his employer and the employer’s wife attended a party.
- Armed Men: Three men entered the car from the rear door, with one of them carrying a pistol. They forced the driver to move to the back seat and drove the car away.
- Assault and Robbery: The driver was allegedly assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone and cash during the hour-long ordeal.
- Victim’s Account: The driver told police that he was later removed from the car on Asola Road, and the accused fled with the vehicle.
Investigation:
- Case Registered: A case was registered at Kishangarh police station based on the driver’s complaint.
