A 22-year-old man was found dead outside a multi-storey residential building in Maidangarhi, South Delhi, on Saturday morning. The police have termed it a case of suicide, stating that the man jumped off the building. However, the victim’s family has alleged that he was thrown off the building.
According to the police, the man, who worked as a light technician for film producers, was found dead outside the building in the morning. The police received a call about the incident and rushed to the scene, taking the man to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The victim’s family members have raised questions about the circumstances surrounding his death. They claim that the man left his rented room in Chhatarpur at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday without telling his cousins where he was going. When one of the cousins called him at 8:45 a.m., a policeman answered the phone and informed him about the death.
The victim’s brother, who runs a cloud kitchen in Noida, has suspected foul play behind the death. “The police are not telling us how my brother died and why he was at the building where he did not know anyone. We suspect that someone from the building threw my brother from one of the upper floors. We want a fair investigation,” he said.
The police have sent the body for an autopsy and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death. However, they have not provided any information about the floor from which the man allegedly jumped, why he was at the building, or if any suicide note was found.
