Delayed Flight of Air India Leads to Passengers’ Distress

On Thursday, an Air India trip from Delhi to San Francisco was delayed by twenty-four hours. Passengers said that some of them fainted while waiting inside the plane without air conditioning. A number of people uploaded images of themselves with flyers that appeared to be in the alleyway leading to the aircraft on X, where they were pleading for help.
Operational problems caused the flight to be delayed. All passengers have been provided with a hotel stay, as well as a complete reimbursement by Air India in response to the delay.
The Air India flight was forced to board, and passengers were forced to sit without air conditioning at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, according to journalist Shweta Punj on X. The delay lasted several hours. She said that after a few people passed out, the passengers were instructed to get off the aircraft.
She referred to the entire experience as “inhuman” and tagged Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in her post. Other passengers also voiced their thoughts and criticised the airline for their service.
