College Student Drugged and Sexually Assaulted in Uttar Pradesh, And was Posted on Social Media

A man raped a college student in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, and posted the video of the assault on social media. During the incident, the survivor reported being drugged and losing conscious.
The incident happened on September 1, when the student was traveling home from college. The survivor said in her statement to the police that when she was walking back from the college, some men grabbed her and took her to an isolated area. Upon resistance, she was drugged, after which she lost conscious.
Further, the woman also stated that three days after the incident, saw her viral video on social media.
Vijay Shankar Mishra, Additional SP, Fatehpur, commented on the incident and stated he had received a complaint from the survivor’s father on Friday, in which he claimed his daughter had been drugged and violated.
The woman identified one of the accused as a the relative of Village head. She also said that some of the accused filmed the act.
The case has been registered, and the police also said that the women had been taken for the medical evaluation.
There has not been an arrest in the case as of yet, and further more inquiries in the case are underway.
