On Sunday, Neeraj Chopra, the javelin thrower, clinched the gold medal, becoming the first Indian to achieve this feat at the World Athletics Championships. Esteemed actors, including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Allu Arjun, and Abhishek Bachchan, took to their platforms on Monday to shower accolades upon Chopra for his remarkable achievement.

Ajay Devgn, in a post on X, expressed his awe at witnessing the incredible 88.17m throw, exclaiming, “KYA PHEKTA HAI YAAR!” He extended heartfelt congratulations to the pride of the nation, Neeraj Chopra, for emerging as the first Indian to seize gold at the World Athletics Championships. Through an Instagram Story, Kareena Kapoor Khan conveyed her pride for the newly crowned “World Champion,” Neeraj Chopra.

Furthermore, several Bollywood celebrities extended their felicitations to athletes Muhammed Anas, Amoj Jacob, Muhammed Ajmal, and Rajesh Ramesh. These athletes had not only qualified for the final of the men’s 4x400m relay team event at the ongoing World Athletics Championships but had also established a fresh Asian record in the process.

Amitabh Bachchan, sharing his thoughts on X, exclaimed, “And India .. JAI HIND .. !!!! Congratulations from the entire WORLD ..” However, he noted that the commentary had primarily focused on the 3rd and 4th positions, failing to acknowledge the noteworthy achievement of the Indian Team, which secured its spot in the qualifiers as a close 2nd.

Shahid Kapoor utilized his Instagram stories to send his congratulations for the establishment of a new Asian record in the 4x400m relay. Anupam Kher, on his Instagram, shared an expressive video accompanied by the resounding chant of “Indiaaaaaaaa.”

The Indian men’s 4x400m relay team, in the ongoing World Athletics Championships 2023 held in Budapest, Hungary, not only qualified for the final but also established a fresh Asian record. The Indian 4x400m relay team completed the heats with a time of 2:59:05, securing the second position overall. This achievement marked the surpassing of the Asian record of 2:59.51, previously set by Japan in the world championships held in Oregon the previous year.

In the heated competition, the Indian team secured the second position in their nine-team Heat 1, with the USA leading the way with a time of 2:58.47. Great Britain secured the third position with a time of 2:59.42, thereby claiming the final qualifying spot in Heat 1.
