CBSE Board Results Date, Time, and Live Updates:
The Central Board of Secondary Education is likely to announce the results for Class 10th and 12th board examinations next week. As per the report cited in The Indian Express, they are expected to release the results by next week. The actual date has not been officially confirmed by CBSE yet.
More than 42 lakh students took part in this year’s CBSE Board exams for Classes 10th and 12th. Exams for Class 10th and 12th began on 15 February, while they concluded for Class 10th on March 18 and for Class 12th the exams wrapped on April 4.
Students can expect the results to be available soon on the official website of CBSE, i.e., cbse.gov.in and results.cbse.nic.in. Alternatively, they can view the results on the official website of DigiLocker by logging in through DigiLocker ID and password. They can also check their results through the UMANG application.
Last year, a total of 23 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 10th examination, out of which around 93% of the students who appeared for the exam passed. The passing percentage increased marginally by 0.48% from the previous year, 2023. Around 2.2 lakh students secured more than 90% last year, while 47,983 students secured more than 95%.
This year, the syllabus for both Classes 10th and 12th was reduced to encourage in-depth learning. As per a TOI report, CBSE’s Bhopal regional officer, Vikas Kumar Agrawal, announced a syllabus reduction of up to 15% for Classes 10 and 12. The syllabus was reduced by 15%, and a 40% weightage was given to internal assessment from the current examination year, 2025. The core focus for the reduction in the syllabus and emphasizing internal assessment was to explore subjects more comprehensively.
A major shift includes increasing the weightage of internal assessments to 40%, with the remaining 60% based on final board exams. This internal assessment will incorporate projects, assignments, and periodic tests, creating a balanced evaluation system throughout the academic year.
The declaration of this year’s CBSE results will conclude the anxious anticipation of students and their parents. As learners prepare to embark on their next academic chapter, stay updated by regularly visiting the official CBSE websites for results and announcements.
