CBFC Trims Intimate Scenes in Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ for Theatrical Release

The film ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon will hit theaters on February 9. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) requested that the producers delete certain personal sequences before the movie was released.

Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ Kapoor focuses on a romantic tale set in the unexplored AI world.

In the upcoming romantic film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, a “scene of a sex act” has been removed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to Bollywood Hungama, the film also has “audio medication.”

The CBFC has “reduced the scene of sex acts by 25%,” per the article. The list also states that nine seconds of the sequence were edited. The private moment is now only 27 seconds long, down from 36 seconds previously. ‘Drink’ has been used in place of ‘daru (alcohol)’ in the second part of the movie.

The CBFC also asked for the addition of a larger, more readable font for the Hindi anti-smoking static message. On February 2, the CBFC accepted the film with a U/A certificate after the adjustments. According to the censor certificate, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has a runtime of 143.15 minutes (2 hours 23 minutes and 15 seconds).

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, a romantic comedy, marks the first collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Bollywood Hungama said that the CBFC has requested that certain portions be cut from the movie before it was released. The result of these edits is a shorter running length for the movie.

The intimate sequence was originally supposed to last 36 seconds, but the censor board reportedly requested the team to cut about nine seconds out of it. As a result, the scene is now only 27 seconds long. Aside from that, the board has instructed the producers to incorporate and amplify the film’s anti-smoking static message.

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon play the movie’s lead actors. The movie explores a story that seems too good to be true, set in the uncharted territory of artificial intelligence (AI). In the film, Shahid plays a robot scientist who gradually develops feelings for Kriti’s character, Sifra, a highly intelligent female robot, and they get married. It was revealed in the previously unveiled teaser that Shahid ultimately began to feel something for the robot.

Both Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah directed and authored the film. The producers are Jyoti Deshpande, Laxman Utekar, and Dinesh Vijan. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya will be released in theaters on February 9. The film also stars Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia in addition to Shahid and Kriti.

Shahid recently talked about the film during a promotional event. Shahid had stated, “I was wondering why I haven’t done a love story for a long time,” as cited by the news agency PTI. It is common to receive consecutive films in the same category. But I wanted to go in a different direction. This film redefines the term “different,” since the subject matter is so unique that I never would have thought to tackle it. For me, it’s a pretty novel and unique idea.
