Case of Jonathan Majors Assault: April Sentencing

Jonathan Majors, known for his portrayal of Kang the Conqueror in Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe, faces the possibility of a year-long jail term pending the charges against him.
Following his recent guilty verdict for assault and harassment against his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, Majors’ sentencing was initially slated for this week. However, due to appeals filed by his legal team seeking to overturn the verdict, the sentencing has been rescheduled for April 8, as announced by Judge Michael Gaffey.
The actor’s misconduct resulted in swift consequences, with both his public relations company, the Lede Company, and his management team, Entertainment 360, terminating their contracts with him.
Jonathan Majors will not be getting any rest as his domestic abuse case is reopened. The Marvel star was supposed to be sentenced this week for the domestic assault allegation; but, because of motions his legal team filed to have the verdict overturned, the sentencing has been postponed until April 8.
The presiding judge stated that delaying the sentencing until April will allow the prosecution ample opportunity to address these motions.
He was found guilty of beating and harassing his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, and a month later he was being sentenced. The jury returned a guilty verdict on two misdemeanor counts of harassment and assault against the Marvel star in late 2023, but they cleared him of two other counts related to an incident that happened in March of last year.
Majors resides outside of the state where the case is being heard, therefore he was practically present to hear the verdict. He may spend up to a year in jail depending on the charges against him.
What happened next between Grace and Jonathan?
When Jonathan Majors and Grace Jabbari first connected on the set of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, they became something. On the movie set, she coordinated movements. They had a fantastic relationship up until that fateful night when she found him cheating and they got into a fight. As they returned from a party, she noticed flirtatious texts from another lady on his phone.
On March 25, 2023, the actor was taken into custody after he physically attacked Grace Jabbari in a private car. Grace told the jury during the two-week trial that she was injured to her finger and head when Majors took his phone away from her.
Majors refuted the claim that he hit Jabbari. Jonathan continues to deny any wrongdoing and stated that his only regret is that he did not end his relationship with Jabbari sooner when he appeared on Good Morning America following his conviction.
