Canada’s Police Made a Major Allegation, Claiming that Indian ‘Agents’ Worked in Collaboration with the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang

Following India’s expulsion of Canadian diplomats and the withdrawal of its ambassador from Ottawa, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) claimed to possess substantial information regarding widespread criminal activities orchestrated by agents of the Indian government. They further alleged that the Indian government was working with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to incite terror on Canadian soil. RCMP Assistant Commissioner Brigitte Gauvin stated at a press conference, “India is targeting the South Asian community, specifically pro-Khalistani elements in Canada. From our perspective, they are utilizing organized crime groups, particularly the Lawrence Bishnoi Group, which we believe has connections to agents of the Government of India.”
India has dismissed these allegations as ridiculous, attributing them to the political motives of the Trudeau government, which it claims is focused on vote bank politics. The Indian foreign ministry stated, “The Government of India strongly rejects these preposterous accusations, which are linked to the Trudeau Government’s political agenda.” These comments arise amidst India’s investigation into the involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique.
Diplomatic relations between India and Canada have reached a new low, with both countries expelling each other’s diplomats as part of an ongoing investigation into the assassination of a Sikh separatist leader. On Monday, India expelled six Canadian diplomats after its ambassador and other diplomats were named “persons of interest” in Canada’s investigation into the killing of pro-Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India criticized Canada’s actions as “preposterous” and a product of the Trudeau government’s vote-bank politics.
In retaliation, Canada has requested the departure of six Indian diplomats and has uncovered evidence of an escalating campaign against Canadian citizens. Relations between the two countries have been tense since last year, when Trudeau claimed to have evidence linking Indian agents to the assassination of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The RCMP reiterated that they have significant information regarding organized criminal activities orchestrated by agents of the Indian government targeting members of the South Asian community in Canada, which India has labeled as absurd.
