Cairo To Resume Gaza Ceasefire Talks On Sunday
Talks regarding the Gaza ceasefire are set to resume on Sunday in Cairo.

Egyptian officials stated that the Gaza ceasefire talks will begin on Sunday in Cairo. In turn, Israel has stated that they will not send a delegation until they receive a list of Israeli hostages who are alive.
President Joe Biden of the United States commented that he hopes the ceasefire will be in place before the holy month of Ramadan commences on March 10.
Israel and Hamas have not released any immediate comments via their negotiators, such as Egypt and Qatar.
Israel is facing international pressure to call for a ceasefire. According to Palestinian authorities, over 30,000 Palestinians have died, and the United Nations states that a quarter are close to facing famine.
Israel vowed to wipe out Hamas after the October 7 attacks, in which over 1,200 Israelis were killed. Hamas also held over 200 Israelis hostage.
Egypt states that the Israeli and Hamas delegations will arrive in Cairo on Sunday.
The incident regarding the deaths of 100 refugees seeking aid has not deterred the two regions’ decision to call for a ceasefire. Israel and Palestine are encouraged to preserve the progress of the peace talks.
Israel blamed the deaths of the refugees swarming the aid trucks. The refugees were trampled or run over.
Egyptian sources state that both parties have agreed on the duration of the Gaza truce. They have also decided on hostage and prisoner releases with the negotiation that Israel will withdraw its forces from northern Gaza and allow the residents to return there.
Ynet News, an Israeli news organization, states that Israel will not send a delegation to Cairo until a hostage list with the names of those who are alive is released. The main focus of the talk on Sunday is to discuss how many hostages Hamas is willing to release, and in return, Israel will release captive Palestinians.
The Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riayd al-Maliki, hopes that before Ramadan, a ceasefire will be active.
Maliki commented that they have been hoping for a ceasefire in vain. These talks are a last attempt at achieving a ceasefire before Ramadan. Maliki also represents the West Bank-based Palestinian Authority.
Over the last 24 hours, over 92 people, and another 100 or more, have died in Israeli attacks. Israel-led strikes also led to the deaths of three other individuals at Beit Hanoun, north of the blockaded strip.
