BTS’s Suga Bids Farewell to Fans Before Military Service, Receives Support from Jin and J-Hope
Before starting his forthcoming military service on September 22, BTS’s Suga engaged with fans in a touching Weverse live session. The singer encouraged fans “not to cry” as he intends to reunite with them after completing his military service in 2025 and reminded them that they may enjoy his drinking show, Suchwita, while he is away.
Suga showed up for the session with shorter hair, and he joked that even the crew had difficulties identifying him. “Good to see you, hello. My name is Suga. I got a small haircut. Do you realize how short my hair is? Also, I find it difficult to adapt. I was not recognized by the staff,” he claimed. After ending his August D tour in Seoul, he claimed that he took some time to recover and spend time with his family and fellow BTS members, which is how he explained his current low profile. “I only rested for roughly two weeks after the concert since I was experiencing muscular aches. So, I was sleeping a lot. The time that was left over, I spent with my family,” he stated.
Suga said that even though Suchwita won’t be able to continue while he is serving in the military, he has filmed a ton of stuff for it that viewers may expect in the future. “I can no longer perform Suchwita. But I did a lot of filming! Please look forward to it,” he stated.
Suga gave fans some consoling words as he wrapped up the live session, stating, “I’d be lying if I said (I’ll return) soon. Let’s meet then in 2025.” He advised followers not to cry and reaffirmed their commitment to a 2025 reunion.
J-Hope and Seok of BTS, Jin, also extended their love and support to Suga. “Watching the live before I turn in my phone,” said Hobi, who recently took a break from the service. “You look good with the hair.” Jin made a joke, “Hey J-While I was messaging, I’m sure I was wondering where he went because he was here.” SJ encouraged Suga by saying, “Yoongi-ya, be strong! I’m supporting you.”
