All seven members of BTS reunited for one last time before leaving for their military enlistment in Nonsan on December 11. They reunited to see off V and RM at the Nonsan Army Recruit Training Center in Chungcheongnam-do.

According to a BTS representative, all the members had coordinated their schedules to be there together for the two members enlisting. They arrived in a total of six vehicles at the training center. A photo capturing this emotional reunion was released on the official X account of BTS. Their agency, Hybe Entertainment, had already announced that there would not be any official events for fans on the day the members were enlisting.

The remaining members, Jimin and Jungkook, enlisted the next day, on December 12. With their enlistment, all the members of BTS will be fulfilling their military duties and returning to civilian status by June 2025 to be again reunited as a group. Members Jin, J-hope, and Suga are already engaged in their respective services.

Fans all around the world were left broken with the remaining members’ enlistment. However, BTS did not part with their beloved fans before giving them farewell gifts. All of them shared pictures of their newly shaved heads, which created quite a stir on the internet. Everyone got quite excited about their new look but also realized that it represented a significant step in their lives. All the members also made sure to personally thank their fans and express gratitude to them.

Before entering the forces, Taehyung, aka V, penned a heartfelt letter on Weverse to express his love and gratitude towards his fans. He wrote that he is sad that he won’t be able to be with ARMY for the time being and will miss them. However, he promised to reunite with them again after 18 months in good health and asked them to take care of themselves too. Finally, he wrote, “As we always have, let’s make precious memories after I return. I will really miss you, and I really love you, so please wait for me until then. I will return soon! Bye!” Alongside this touching message, Taehyung also shared photos of his shaved head on both Instagram and Weverse.

Jungkook delivered his final farewell to his fans on a live-stream titled, “I’ll go and come back well.” Owing to his funny and playful nature, he started the live-stream by startling his fans with the noise of his dryer in the back. He laughed and told them that he was doing his laundry before his departure. He asked everyone to take care of themselves and stay healthy, and he promised to come back well. Reflecting on his enlistment, he said that his heart does feel a little unsettled. However, he expressed his gratitude to his fans and thanked them for supporting him all the time. He finally told everyone, “Hehe, I’ll miss you guys. Take care.” He saluted all his fans and promised to come back stronger.

Jimin also went live on his Weverse account to talk with ARMY for one last time before his enlistment. He spoke about how he always felt grateful for the endless support he has received from the people who love him. He said that he was just “temporarily parting” from his friends, with whom he has been for the last 10 years. He confessed that he is looking forward to his reunion with his fans and having fun with them. Finally, he said that he will miss everyone while he is away and added, “I’ll be back before you know it.”

Lastly, Namjoon, popularly known as RM, did not forget to leave a heartfelt letter for his fans before he left for his military enlistment. There he wrote that the day to depart has finally come, and he wants to say a lot but feels at a loss for words. He expressed his happiness to have been a part of BTS for the last 10 years and assured his fans that their love for them will make the upcoming challenges easy for them. He promised everyone that it would only be “a temporary farewell” and they would soon meet in the future. Lastly, he did not forget to write to his fans, “I love you very much.”

After receiving these messages, fans were beyond touched. Everyone took to their social media platforms to express their feelings about this situation. Fans flooded social media with touching messages and wished for BTS to return healthy and safe in 2025.
