Brawl Breaks Out Among BPharm Students in Greater Noida University

Greater Noida: A violent brawl broke out among students of a private university in Sector 17A, Greater Noida, on Saturday, leaving four BPharm students booked for assault and lewd comments. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. when some third-year students were conversing in the college lab.
According to police, the brawl started after members of a group allegedly spat on others in the laboratory, leading to a verbal argument that soon escalated into a physical fight. Multiple videos of the brawl surfaced on social media platforms, showing students resorting to fistfights and assaulting each other on the college premises.
The college administration has suspended all four students involved in the fight. “We are taking the incident very seriously and have taken necessary actions against the students involved,” said a college official.
Dankaur Station House Officer (SHO) Munendra Singh said that one of the assaulted students approached the police station at night and filed a complaint. “We have registered a case of assault and passing lewd comments under sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against one identified and three unidentified suspects,” the SHO said, adding that efforts are on to nab the accused, who are currently on the run.
The police are working to identify and apprehend the accused students. The incident has raised concerns about student behavior and safety on campus. The university authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those found guilty.
The police investigation is ongoing, and further action will be taken based on the findings. The incident has sparked a debate about the need for better conflict resolution mechanisms and student support services in educational institutions.
