The film ‘Hamare Baarah,’ directed by Kamal Chandra, will be released soon as the Bombay HC bench of judges permitted filmmakers to promulgate its screening. A bench of judges of HC said that there is nothing offensive and hateful against the Quran devotees and the Muslim community. The division bench of judges, after observing the film starring actor Annu Kapoor, said the film is not against any community or attacking any religious sentiments but aims to uplift women in society to empower them.
Earlier this month, a petition was filed against the release of the ‘Hamare Baarah’ film in HC stating that the film attacked the Muslim community by displaying controversial scenes. The Bombay HC yesterday, on 18th June, cleared that the Court found nothing objectionable in the film ‘Hamare Baarah’ and said that it is made to entitle women, empower them, and uplift the good image of women in society.
The film was to be released on 14th June this month, but the Court, after hearing the plea, postponed the release of the movie and told the filmmakers to delete unnecessary scenes that provoke violence in society. However, Justice B.P. Colabawalla and Firdosh Pooniwalla have not canceled the movie’s release in theaters but postponed the date of release. The HC noticed and imposed the cost on filmmakers for releasing the trailer without certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
‘Hamare Baarah’ film, directed by Kamal Chandra and written by Rajan Agarwal, has received a 7.1 rating on the world’s popular IMDb website. The movie is particularly based on women’s empowerment, women’s status in society, and how women can fight against issues they envisage in their lives. The motive of the film is to uplift women’s power in society. Stars Annu Kapoor, Harish Chhabra, Manoj Joshi, Ashwini Kalsekar, Rahul Bagga, and other famous actors will be in the leading roles in the movie.
