Big Hit Music, founded by Bang Si-hyuk in 2005, recently underwent significant changes, including a name change and reorganisation in March 2021. It now operates as an independent label under Hybe Corporation, previously known as Big Hit Entertainment Co., Ltd. The boy groups BTS and Tomorrow X Together, along with soloist Lee Hyun, are currently signed to the label. Previously, Big Hit Music shared management of soloist Lim Jeong-hee, Glam, 8Eight, and 2AM.

Renowned K-pop acts including NewJeans, Enhypen, Boy Next Door, Tomorrow by Together, Le Seraffim, and Seventeen are produced by HYBE Corporation. The group of companies known as Hybe Labels consists of Big Hit Music, Source Music, Pledis Entertainment, Belift Lab, ADOR, and KOZ Entertainment.

Big Hit Music is now gearing up for its global audition to discover the next big boy band. The auditions, scheduled from May 2 to August 31, are being conducted worldwide. This year’s theme is encapsulated in the tagline: “FROM A SINGLE DROP, TO THE BIG WAVE.”

Interested participants, male and born after 2006, need only submit a single audition photo to apply for any field. On-site audition registration begins at 11 a.m. on the audition day.

In June, there will be auditions in Los Angeles, Sydney, Auckland, Vancouver, Orange County, Hawaii, and Melbourne. In July, the live auditions will be held in Bangkok, Singapore, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Jakarta. In August, the dates for the auditions in Taipei, Osaka, Tokyo, and Seoul will be revealed. They are also holding online auditions via their official website, aside from that.
