- Relationship Disapproved: Chandrika was in a relationship with Harish, but her family wanted her to marry someone else.
- Plea for Help: Chandrika texted Harish on the night of June 24, saying, “Come and get me; otherwise, my family will get me married against my will. If I don’t agree to the marriage, they will kill me. Save me.”
- Murder and Cover-up: After sending the text, Chandrika’s body was found at her home. Her father, Sedhabhai Patel, and uncle, Shivabhai Patel, allegedly murdered her and attempted to make it look like a natural death.
