Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurana, a self-proclaimed huge fan of the late actor-singer Kishore Kumar, paid a heartfelt musical tribute to the legendary artist on his 93rd birth anniversary on 4th August. Taking to his Instagram, the versatile actor shared a touching reel, jamming with his guitarist and singing a mesmerizing mash-up of two of Kishore Da’s iconic songs – ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ and ‘Dream Girl’. The video generated immense love and appreciation from fans who showered the post with likes and comments.
Ayushmann Khurana’s admiration for Kishore Kumar has been evident, and he has often credited the late legend as the inspiration behind his role as Pooja in the blockbuster movie ‘Dream Girl.’ Apart from his acting skills, Ayushmann is also known for his musical talents. He kick-started his singing career with his debut film ‘Vicky Donor,’ where he delivered the soulful track “Pani Da Rang.” Recently, he released an original composition titled “Raataan Kaaliyaan,” in collaboration with musician Rochak Kohli; which was well-received by his fans.
Interestingly, the actor had a clever promotional strategy for his upcoming film, ‘Dream Girl 2,’ which is set to hit theaters on August 25. Ayushmann chose the song ‘Dream Girl’ to pay tribute to Kishore Kumar while subtly promoting the much-anticipated sequel.
