News India Official: AAP leader Atishi accused the newly formed BJP-led Delhi government of breaking its promise after Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s Cabinet failed to approve the ₹2,500 monthly financial assistance scheme for women in its first meeting. Atishi claimed that the BJP had “made up its mind” to “cheat” the people, pointing out that despite pre-poll assurances, the scheme was not included in the agenda.
In a video posted on X, Atishi criticised the BJP for not delivering on its commitment, stating that women were expecting the scheme’s approval but were instead let down. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme, offering ₹10 lakh in health coverage per beneficiary. She also declared that 14 CAG reports on the previous AAP administration would be presented in the upcoming assembly session.
Responding to Atishi’s remarks, CM Rekha Gupta asserted that her government would set its own priorities, saying, “It’s our government; the agenda will be ours. Let us work.”
