Alcaraz Defends his Wimbledon Title!
21-year-old Spanish Carlos Alcaraz wins the men’s singles wimbledon for the second time in a row, defeating the seven-time champion Novak Djokovic!

On July 14th, Carlos Alcaraz, a 21-year-old Spanish youngster, successfully defended his men’s single Wimbledon title by defeating the seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in straight sets. Carlos Alcaraz defeated Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in the semis before proceeding to the finals, whereas Novak Djokovic won against Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets to qualify for the finals.
This years final was a repeat telecast for Wimbledon 2023 final with both the Tennis stars competing again for the title . Alcaraz was looking to defend it whereas Djokovic would have been wanting a revenge of last year’s final.
The final began with a tiring game lasting for over 13 minutes , with Alcaraz winning it at last. Similar domination was seen during all the sets where Djokovic was seen taking a submissive position. Speculations say that the gameplay of djokovic could be hampered due to a knee surgery that the tennis star underwent recently.
Carlos Alcaraz went on to dominate the 7 times Wimbledon Champion and 24 time Grand slam winner with a straight set wins in the game. The scoreline of yesterday’s match read 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) with the Spanish Star all over the Serbian legend.
Carlos Alcaraz is often regarded as the ‘Prince of the centre court’ as the young lad has shown his ultimate potential in the Championship through his short and young career.
This is Carlos Alcaraz’s 4th Grand Slam title in his young career, which makes him one of the youngest to achieve the feat. He was further applauded and cheered up by the centre court’s audience, along with the finalist Novak Djokovic himself.
