After two disastrous box office performances, Akshay Kumar finally felt relieved after his most recent movie, OMG 2. At the box office, the movie made over Rs 100 crore and became a huge success. The actor will be making a return to the beloved movie series Hera Pheri and Welcome in addition to a number of other upcoming ventures. According to rumors, Akshay decided to accept a wage cut for Welcome 3 and Hera Pheri 3 in exchange for a profit-sharing arrangement with the movie’s producer, Firoz Nadiadwala.

The third installment of the classic comedy film series Hera Pheri has been eagerly anticipated by fans. Akshay gave in to the demands of his fans and joined Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal to star in the movie, despite suspicions that he would be replaced by Kartik Aaryan when the OMG 2 actor declined the invitation to appear in Hera Pheri 3.

According to a Bollywood Hungama source, Akshay went to producer Firoz Nadiadwala to settle all issues after learning that Kartik would be taking his place in Hera Pheri 3. The actor will now appear in Welcome 3 and Hera Pheri 3 as Rajeev and Raju, respectively, and reprise their roles.

Akshay made the decision to enter a profit-sharing agreement with the director while also considering Firoz’s financial situation. Akshay made the decision to forego his fees entirely and entered into a profit-sharing arrangement with Firoz Nadiadwala on the total revenue. According to a source in Bollywood Hungama, Firoz wanted to keep the IP, so he has full ownership over it. However, he will split profits with Akshay in a pre-determined ratio.

According to the report, Akshay personally contacted Jio Studios to persuade them to join up with Firoz Nadiadwala as partners. The newspaper stated that once Jio joined the team, “it was one arrow, three solutions — Firoz got out of his debts, the franchises were revived, and Akshay will be getting his share of profit from Jio, without any risk of films being shelved.”
