Woman in Faridabad Gang-Raped After Boarding Auto at Night

In a disturbing incident that has sent shockwaves through the region, a 24-year-old woman, employed at a private company, fell victim to a heinous crime when she was raped by two men in Faridabad, Haryana.
The incident unfolded on a fateful Sunday night, around ten o’clock, as the young woman took an auto-rickshaw near Town Park, intending to reach her residence. Initially, she shared the auto with just the driver. However, her night took a horrifying turn when two men, identified as Sanoj and Vishnu, joined her in the vehicle and engaged her in conversation. Then the driver, Virender, and the two men, who were allegedly his friends, kept the woman hostage while the driver changed direction.
The trio took her to the bushes in the BPTP area, and two of the three men took turns in raping the victim. But somehow, the victim managed to escape from them and raised the alarm after reaching the main road.
Coming to her aid, a passerby drove her to the nearest police station, where she reported the harrowing incident.
The Police wasted no time in taking action. Sanoj and Vishnu were arrested on Monday, and a First Information Report (FIR) was registered against all the accused at the Faridabad Central Police Station.
Police officials stated, “We are currently interrogating the suspects and conducting extensive searches to locate the auto driver, Virendra. We expect to detain him soon.”
