On Wednesday evening, 45-year-old Rani Devi was brutally stabbed about 30 times to death in her home in Sector 62’s Housing Board Colony. According to the police, the murder occurred on Wednesday, and they have opened an investigation based on the daughter of the deceased’s accusation. The primary offender has been named by the police as Gaurav Singh, a 28-year-old brother-in-law of the deceased’s daughter. According to authorities, he and 26-year-old Akash Singh stabbed the deceased at least thirty times in retaliation for his mother’s death because they believed she (Rani) was having an affair with his father.

In relation to the murder, the authorities detained the two accused on Sunday, days after Rani was fatally stabbed. The suspects were taken into custody by the DLF criminal squad on Saturday, utilizing both technical surveillance and human intelligence. According to the officer, the two were from Tigaon village. Officials stated that the suspects were put on police remand for two days.

Gaurav disclosed during interrogation that his mother suffered from depression as a result of his father’s illicit involvement with the deceased. His mother and father were never able to agree. The police officer stated, “He and his friend planned the murder over the last month as a form of revenge after his mother suffered a heart attack.”
