44-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Killing Former Lover at Mumbai Hotel

MUMBAI: A 44-year-old woman has been arrested by Dindoshi Police for allegedly murdering her former partner, a 47-year-old businessman, at a hotel in Malad East. The victim, Imamuddin Mansuri, was found dead on May 4, with an autopsy confirming he was murdered.
Mansuri, who lived in Mira Road and owned a shop in Malad East, had checked into the hotel earlier that day with the accused, Barkat Rathod. The two were previously in a relationship but ended it after pressure from their families. They were also distant relatives.
According to police, Mansuri was first poisoned and then strangled. Rathod was apprehended in Surat while attempting to travel to her maternal home in Rajasthan. She has been booked for murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
