19-Year-Old Female Security Guard in Ghaziabad Dies After Alleged Sexual Assault by Supervisor, Poison Consumption Suspected

A tragic incident unfolded in Ghaziabad, where a 19-year-old female security guard at a high-rise residential society was reported to have consumed a toxic substance after being sexually assaulted by her boss on Sunday. Sadly, she passed away on Monday.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Wave City), Saloni Agrawal, confirmed the arrest of the supervisor, who was later placed in custody. Agrawal also stated that physicians at Safdarjung Hospital are currently performing a postmortem examination on the victim’s body. Agrawal added, “We have yet to receive the postmortem report, and therefore, additional actions will be taken.”
According to the reports, the supervisor is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in his workplace at the high-rise society on Sunday afternoon, due to which her condition deteriorated. She was initially admitted to a private hospital and then later transferred to Safdarjung Hospital.
“Initial findings from the medical reports indicate severe damage to her lungs,” stated a police officer. “We are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to determine whether any other individuals were involved,” he added.
The police initially filed a First Information Report (FIR) under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section dealing with gang rape, which also mentioned two unnamed individuals. Yet, in her statement provided to a magistrate at the hospital, under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), she only referred to the supervisor. He was afterward apprehended and taken into Judicial custody.
She had been employed at the high-rise residential society for the past several months and was residing with her aunt nearby, as per the authorities.
