Over 100 people, including 42 women, were arrested by Hyderabad Police after raiding a pub based on information about illegal activities, particularly inappropriate dance performances. Acting on a tip-off, police raided the TOS pub in the upscale Banjara Hills area on Friday and arrested 100 individuals, according to a police statement. Among those arrested were the pub’s manager, cashier, and DJ. The pub had allegedly hired women from different states to perform obscene dances to attract male customers and boost profits.

The raid, led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Venkat Ramana, was part of a broader crackdown on illegal activities in the city, the statement said. Before the raid, the pub had been under surveillance for suspected “illegal activities,” according to sources from India Today TV.

Last month, Excise Enforcement Director VB Kamalasan Reddy led a similar operation targeting prominent Hyderabad pubs, including Quorum Club in Sherlingampally and Babylon in Jubilee Hills, as part of efforts to combat drug abuse. During those raids, drug tests were conducted, with four individuals testing positive for drug consumption out of 33 tested. At Quorum, two out of seven tested positive, and at Babylon, two of the 12 tested were found to have consumed drugs.
